One of my biggest issues with weight loss is that it seems that I never have the time to exercise. When I am able to get on a roll of exercising and keeping everything in balance, something comes along and changes it all. What do you do to stay on track?

RE: Finding the Time...
I try to do SOMETHING each day. My plan is at least 30 minutes of exercise a day, but if I don't get it in on one day, I'll do 60 minutes the next. Even if I can only do a 10-minute exercise bike ride in between scheduled things, at least it's ten minutes and I moved today, you know? My mom has started waking up about twenty minutes earlier and doing an exercise bike ride because she had knee surgery a few months ago and she finds the bike unstiffens her in the mornings.

I completely understand! I just make sure and prioritize. If I put exercise and cooking meals that are good for me as one of my priorities, I will do it. I find that I complain a lot about not having enough time for things, but I also do a lot of little things through the day that waste time. It's all about prioritizing and recognizing that the time is there, you just have to find it. My husband and I also got a dog, you have to exercise then. She needs to walk for at least an hour a day to keep her in shape!

RE: Finding the Time...
You have to treat yourself #1 in this regard. Its very easy to say you dont have time, I did it for years. Said I couldnt get up early or was too tired when I came home from work. I'm getting up at 5:00 now and going to the gym, which for me was IMPOSSIBLE. If you dont belong to a gym, there are so many bodyweight exercises that you can do that are extremely effective. There are countless websites out there with bodyweight circuit routines you can find for free that take between 10-30 minutes that you can do while you're watching TV. No weights required, just a willpower to get some exercise in!
